This is our premium 6.5" component kit. Offering top quality silk dome tweeters, midrange speakers with aluminium cast baskets and oversized high density ceramic magnets these speakers represent the ultimate in full range performance. The cones are poly composite, which when combined with the aerospace grade rubber suspension delivers perfect sonic detail and incredible transient response. The crossover networks incorporate selectable attenuation switches for the tweeters, to take account of different mounting positions and allow fine tuning of the sound. The bass response of this kit is excellent, the sonic imaging Superb.

Version History

Prototype - Delivered to us at the end of 2011 for testing. V1 - Cast baskets a work of art but physical size meant that installation was tricky into OEM locations. Midbass performance from the poly cones acceptable but it was decided that given the fitting issues we would prefer to scrap the fancy cast baskets and spend more on the cone. Hence we retired this product and introduced the .2 versions of the 5 and 6 inch speaker for 2014 along with a matching 4 inch for the first time (known as the SPL4C.1). Product support ended 2016.
