The all new SPL12.4 is great for all round performance. Featuring massive Y30 triple stack magnets and a DVC 3 inch BASV coil this monster woofer is a replacement for the venerable SPL12.3 but with the volume turned up to MAXIMUM! Offered here in dual 2 ohm configuration for flexibile installation this woofer will deliver astonishing extension and ridiculous SPL. Learning from our amazing SPL15.2 the tinsel leads are now stitched into the spider, which takes away the most common failure mode seen in the earlier .3 model and guarantees brutal performance long term. The efficiency of the SPL12.4 truly has to be experienced to be believed. It is important to follow our box size recommendation with this speaker for maximum reliability as the triple magnet motor is very powerful for the basket, spider and VC assembly.

Version History

New model designed to replace outgoing .3 Series. First introduced for delivery at the end of Q1 2017. Also featuring an excavated foam packing box for safe transit. V1 - Outstanding performance but sensitive to box dimensions. Limitation of the system was in the VC to coil glue which failed at extreme excusion/maximum power. V2 - After spending a very long time trying to convince the factory that it was possible to use a different glue between the VC and coil joint a report was presented to us in April 2018 showing a fatigue study of a new adhesive. Following this, agreement was reached for a V2 of the .4 series that should be available towards Q4 of 2018. We are hopeful that the recone that will be ordered at the same time will retrospectively fit the V1 .4 series and allow repair of blown drivers. - NEWS UPDATE - THIS REVISED UNIT WILL BE RENAMED THE "S" VERSION OF THE .4 SERIES AND WILL BE CLASSED AS A DIFFERENT SKU
