The SPL10M.1S woofer is ideal for crazy projects where the builder demands the best on offer. With amazing sensitivity for a sizeable cone area the super lightweight textured paper cone is a perfect match for the big 60mm voice coil and chunky magnet. We added a billet phase plug which further smooths the response and keeps things cool under heavy load. Mounting depth of 110mm is also competitive for such a big speaker. A copper shorting ring smooths the impedence and the speaker is available in both 4 and 8 Ohm variants. (This is the 8 Ohm version). The "S" Series 10M.1 has an amazing midbass performance and is chiefly a midbass speaker rather than a "mid range" one but don't be fooled - even the vocal performance is impressive! With its solid cast basket you'll be amazed at just how musical and controlled this speaker is especially for a driver that will take a fairly ridiculous 400W RMS in the right conditions! Truly a warrior amongst midbass drivers.

Version History

Prototype – The idea for this product came from our Italian market where large midrange drivers are often used in automotive applications. V1 – The SPL10M.1 model sounds incredible and this "S" model adds a high quality cast basket, creating an absolute monster of a speaker. With sensational midbass performance and amazing build quality we are truly pleased with V1 which launched to market early Q4 2017.
