The DB4.2 punches way above its weight. And it's a knockout! This tiny Class D 4 channel amp delivers similar power to the DB4.1, but measures in at little more than 13cm wide and 5cm deep. Because of its compact form factor, this amp lends itself very well to a number of applications. Where other amps would be unsuitable due to size and weight restrictions, the DB4.2 will happily fit into a dashboard or glove box. The minimal weight and class D topology mean it's the perfect amp for 12v portable systems and motorcycles. We've included high pass and low pass filters for use with subwoofers. Its bridgeable to 4 ohm so you can run 2 speakers and a subwoofer - all from something that will fit in the palm of your hand!

Version History

Prototype – Realising class D technology had come so far as to be able to make amps so small and with such high power, here at Bassface we decided we needed to introduce this tech to the marketplace at a great price. We prototyped the amp with fixed filters and plug in terminals for power and speakers. It performed exceptionally and we put it into production. V1 – The V1 has fixed HPF/LPF filter switches and green plug in screw terminal block connectors. V2 – Realising we needed more flexibility and the screw terminal block connectors were even more fiddly, we swapped those for high quality screw terminals with increased gauge for power and ground. We then changed fixed the high and low pass filters for constantly variable HPF and LPF enabling the amp to be used without an external crossover for powering 2 way mid/high set up.
